Position Overview
In the role of a Homecare Aide, you will play a vital part in the daily lives of individuals who require assistance due to illness, aging, or disability. Your support will help enable our clients to maintain their independence and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and help with feeding as necessary.
- Support clients in daily activities, such as housekeeping, laundry, and light cleaning.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and activities.
- Administer medications as scheduled and monitor health changes, reporting any concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with transportation as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in homecare, personal care, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting clients.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and health screenings as required.
